Soil Mechanics Laboratory

Soil Mechanics laboratory helps to understand the basic mechanical principles underlying modern soil mechanics and creates an understanding of assumptions that are inherent to the solution of geotechnical problems.

In this laboratory course, students will learn how to test soils for their index and engineering properties and to characterise soils based on their properties by conducting Atterberg Limits test, Triaxial test, UCS test, Proctor compaction test etc.

The Department has adequate computer laboratory facilities with the latest in Hardware and Software. The Institution scrupulously follows the AICTE norms regarding computer resources to be made available to students.

The Institution also has a well-stocked library with a wide range of management books as well as journals, both national and international. The collection is constantly reviewed and updated with new titles and editions.
