IEEE Inauguration

Inauguration ceremony of "Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student Branch" at Amrita College of Engineering and Technology, Nagercoil was hosted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 24th September 2022 under the guidance of our Principal Dr. T. Kannan. Ms.Ashmini K A, IV B.E. (EEE) Student, delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.V.Mahesh Kumar, Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering delivered felicitation address about the IEEE inauguration. Ms.SnigdhaSankar, III B.E. (ECE) Student introduced the Chief guest and Ms.Sushma B S, III B.E. (CSE) Student introduced the Special guest.

With regards to Ms.Snigdha Sankar's address, the chief guest, Dr. A. Darwin Jose Raju, Chairman, IEEE MAS Education Society Chapter, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, St.Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering, Nagercoil, was welcomed to give inaugral address.

The chief guest, Dr. A. Darwin Jose Raju, gave a brief idea about how actively a student branch can work and all the aspects of a student branch.

After Ms.Sushma B S's introduction, the special guest was then invited to give the address. The special guest, Ms. Ankayarkanni Rajendran, Executive Committee Member, IEEE MAS YP AG, Senior Software Engineer, Formcept Technologies and Solutions, Bangalore outlined the membership benefits of the IEEE student branch.

After the special address given by the special guest, Dr. A. Darwin Jose Raju, introduced the IEEE student branch office bearers. Dr.P.M.Sivaraja, Head of the Department, Computer Science and Engineering, Dr.A.S.Radhamani, Research Coordinator and more than 100 participants have participated in the programme. Mr.S.SivaPunithan, III B.E. (CSE) Student delivered the vote of thanks. Dr.M.S.Sivagama Sundari, Head of the Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering coordinated the programme
