ICT Academy

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. With training of teachers and students as the primary objective, ICT ACADEMY has been working in the areas of Faculty Development, Student Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research & Publications with a focus on current industry requirements. Through the following initiatives, ICT Academy has been part of strengthening the India's four important visions on Skill India, Digital India, Start-up India, and Make in India.

Achievements
  • Dr. T. Kannan, Academic Director, Amrita Institutions, received the "Centre for Excellence-Women Empowerment Program" Confirmation Letter from Thiru. T. Mano Thangaraj, Honorable Minister for Information Technology, Government of Tamil Nadu.
  • Amrita college of engineering and technology was awarded with certificate of recognition for successfully completing skill edge foundation course 2021 for 100 students.
  • Mrs.S L Jothilakshmi, Assistant professor/CSE of amrita college of engineering and technology recognized as the best coordinator for successfully completing skill edge foundation course 2021 at their institution.
Events - ICT Academy
  • On 25th of March 2022, Amrita College of Engineering and Technology`s Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the ICT Academy, organized a virtual power seminar on "nurturing the graduates on industry readiness"
  • The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita College of Engineering and Technology, Nagercoil organized a virtual power seminar on “Introduction to Big data Analytics” in association with ICT Academy Chennai On July 24th, 2021.
  • Virtual power seminar on “Cloud computing” in association with ICT Academy, Chennai on June 8th, 2021. Resource Person: Mr. Dilip Muralidaran, Senior Technical Instructor, Splunk, Chennai.
  • The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita College of Engineering and Technology, Nagercoil organized virtual power seminar on “Blockchain technologies” in association with ICT Academy, Chennai On March 31st, 2021.
  • Department of Computer Science and Engineering , Amrita College of Engineering and Technology, Nagercoil organized virtual power seminar on “RPI FOR ALL” in association with ICT Academy, Chennai on January 20th 2021. Resource Person: Mr. Saravanan G, Head-Strategic Alliances, ICT Academy, Chennai.
  • Conduced ICT Academy sponsored Two Day FDP on Teaching Skills for ACET and nearby college Faculty members, 2-3, May 2019.
Students Training | ICT Academy
  • Under DXC and ICT Academy joint initiative, 53 pre-final year BE (CSE &ECE) girl students at Amrita College of Engineering and Technology (Passing out in 2022) were given 200 hours of training comprises 100 hours of Virtual Live Instructor Led Training and 100 hours of self-learning. The training includes soft skills for employability from 15th February 2021 to 31st April 2021.
