Communication System Laboratory

Communication System laboratory provides a basic understanding of various functional modules of a communication system. This lab will provide the platform for an experiment on different digital modulation techniques with their limitation. The generic communication system consists of a transmitter, channel, and receiver. It has been exploited through end-to-end communication links. With the application of various channel coding techniques and validate their capabilities towards improving the noise performance of communication systems.

Trainer kits for AM & FM modulation and demodulation, Sampling and reconstruction, Time Division Multiplexing, PCM, PAM, PPM, PWM, DM and Line Coding Scheme are available in the laboratory to visualize its principle of operation. This lab includes the Simulation of digital modulation schemes, Error control coding schemes, Communication link and their performance analyses. The lab is well equipped with required PCs, Trainer kits, CRO, DSO, MSO, Function Generators and Communication simulation software such as MATLAB or equivalent software package for simulation experiments to support a robust academic activity in this laboratory.
