DEPARTMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Department Advisory Committee is formed with Management's
consent to support the department's Vision and
Mission, as well as the Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering UG
Programme. It is composed of members from reputed institutions as well as members from industry, parents, alumni,
student representatives and members of faculty of the department.

DEPARTMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Department Advisory committee has been established to monitor
the curriculum, syllabi, COs, POs and PEOs of the Department of Civil Engineering satisfying the expectations of
stakeholders including faculty members, students, alumni and parents. The team comprises of technical members
from various institutes, professional bodies, student representatives, alumni and members of the faculty of the
department.
The committee provides recommendations and approval for envisaging
the vision and mission of the department and suggests revisions to PEOs and POs based on the current requirements.
The committee also suggests open electives, core electives, mini projects and monitors them by conducting meetings
on demand from the higher authorities. This autonomous body also formulates the attainment of POs.
The Department advisory committee has long term goals for revising
the functioning of the usual protocol and hierarchy of monitoring the gap identified in the curriculum and fill it
with signing MOUs with civil software training institutes and training the student interns with esteemed civil
engineering industries and government agencies such as PWD, TWAD Board, TNEB, CPWD and Municipal Corporations.
The overall functioning of the civil engineering department and
the achievements of the defined system of functioning are taken care by providing guidelines for the latest trends
in the industries through the necessary advisory board members who are the eminent personalities from industries
and educationists. Based on the feedback from stakeholders the advisory board revises the vision and mission of
the Civil Engineering Department.
The Department Advisory Committee ensures quality education with the
well-known saying “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

DEPARTMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
A value-based educational system is an
integral part of human and student-centric intellectual development. In this perspective, the department has
envisaged with several measures and focuses on the ways to promote value-based education and help to maintain a
student-centered, encouraging learning environment.
As stated in the institution’s vision, we envision a system wherein
there is a great interplay and exchange of ideas, thoughts, feelings and actions, that develop people empowering
them with noble character and wholesome values. The department focuses on student-centered learning environment
that values diversity and focuses on the education of the whole student, promoting the spiritual, intellectual and
moral growth of each individual.
The responsibilities of department advisory committee include,
achieving the institutions mission and vision, performance priorities and quality enhancement. The department
mission, vision and programme educational objectives (PEOs) are defined and articulated by the stakeholders of
employer, industries, faculty, staff, alumni and parents. It addresses the scope and needs of the industry, recent
advancements in research and developments and requirements for the latest trends.
In departmental meetings, departmental mission and vision statements
are reviewed by specifically considering the latest trends, industry demand etc. The proposed mission and vision
statements are also circulated to the Alumni, Employer, Faculty and Parents and their feedback is taken. After
taking into consideration of the feedback received, the institution level department advisory committee prepares
draft mission and vision statements which are discussed and brainstormed in a meeting consisting of the entire
faculty. The statements are then finalized.

Amrita College of Engineering and Technology has constituted the
Department Advisory Committee (DAC) for the Department of Management Studies with the aim and objective of
uplifting the department from all perspectives. 360° feedback and inputs from industry experts, academic experts,
alumni, parents, and current students who are part of this DAC, will definitely thrust in the areas of recent
trends in industry and corporate in all functional areas like Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Operations, and
others, and thereby our students, who are going to be young budding managers, will meet industry and corporate
