The Cyber Security club of Amrita is set with a goal to teach individuals about cyber security and help them gain their knowledge necessary to arm themselves against modern-day computer exploits through various industrial experts. The purpose of the cyber security club is to enable students of all skill levels to work together in expanding their cyber security knowledge, and to increase cyber security awareness on campus. The club aims to cover different areas related to cyber security like network security, penetration testing, secure coding, cryptography, and reverse engineering. To present interactive demonstrations with vulnerable web applications and make them learn about different tools and resources to look for. The club will provide students the opportunity to get technical, hands-on experience, participate in events and competitions, and be able to speak with professionals in the field.
Objectives
- To raise cyber security awareness and promote a safer digital environment.
- To provide a platform for networking and collaboration among like-minded individuals interested in cyber security.
- To develop the technical skills of their members in areas such as network security, ethical hacking, secure coding, digital forensics.

Our club is dedicated to boosting the coding and analytical abilities of our students through a range of events, including program coding, debugging, hackathon, seminars, and workshops. These activities not only foster problem-solving techniques but also provide invaluable opportunities for growth and development.

- A talk on the "Career benefits of Competitive Programming" was organized for the Code Club members on 6-11-2019 from 4:50 pm to 5:50 pm at the CSE Department. Ms. Sindhuja S, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Amrita College of Engineering and Technology, addressed the code club members on competitive programming and the changing perceptions of coding and technology.

The FOSS club of Amrita is focused on contributing to Free and Open Source Software and mentoring students to achieve excellence in various fields of Computer Science. Free and open-source software (FOSS) is a computer software that can be classified as both free software and open-source software. Free, open-source operating systems such as Linux,Ubuntu,Fedora are widely utilized today, powering millions of servers, desktops, smart phones (e.g. Android), and other devices. Free software licenses and open-source licenses are used by many software packages. This Club will provide the students by giving the opportunity to run, to study, to improve a program and to redistribute copies to help each other by making the software free and open source.
Objectives
- To encourage the students voluntarily improve the design of the software.
- To provide freedom to run the program as the student wish, for any purpose.
- To develop software that is cheaper, reliable and has better quality.
- To distribute copies of modified versions to others. By doing this the student can give the whole community a chance to benefit from their changes.

MATLAB Academy
MATLAB means Matrix Laboratory. MATLAB is a programming language and environment helps to compute, design, simulate, visualize and analyze systems. Members of the Amrita MATLAB user forum teach MATLAB to the First year B.E. students about matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data and implementation of algorithms. Higher semester students are trained to use MATLAB and Simulink to develop more efficient devices that integrate audio, video, wireless communication and other features. Member of the forum also offer one day projects with MATLAB using MATLAB and its tools to explore and validate algorithms and system level designs as part of the one day learn and make project option.

The Association of Innovative Mechanical Engineers (AIMEs), aims to play a pivotal role in the development of students as an innovative engineer by conducting various information sessions. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell was inaugurated on 31-07-2019 in our college. This cell is launched to encourage students to consider self-employment as a carrier option. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell aims to develop skills required for the students to become entrepreneurs.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level and student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities &programmes.The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. Since inception of the NSS in the year 1969, the number of students strength increased from 40,000 to over 3.8 million up to the end of March 2018 students in various universities, colleges and Institutions of higher learning have volunteered to take part in various community service programmes.

The purpose of the student-run Data Analytics group is to introduce students to the rapidly expanding discipline of analytics. The club's mission is to educate its members on the value of analytics across industries and to promote problem-solving that is data-driven. A new group is looking for members from all majors and concentrations. In applications like R programming, SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and Tableau, we intend to concentrate on issue solving utilising machine learning and other data analysis techniques. With a focus on networking in the industry, we intend to apply the theories and techniques gained in the classroom to actual circumstances in order to offer answers through group work and collaboration.

Operations Club
Operations Club activity is a student driven activity. The activities are carried out in order to give the students an exposure of the actual work environment and to enhance their knowledge. This club bridges the gap between classroom teaching and practical application in various field of Operations activities through designing, controlling the process of production and redesigning business operations in the production of goods and/or services. It brings all operations enthusiasts to students by exposing them to real-time corporate scenarios and knowledge sharing sessions, group discussions, workshops and industry interaction. The club takes various initiatives to ensure the seamless transfer and gain of knowledge among students.

Solar Energy Society of India (SESI)
Solar Energy Society of India is the Indian Section of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). Its interests cover all aspects of renewable energy, including characteristics, effects and methods of use, and it provides a common ground to all those concerned with the nature and utilization of this renewable non-polluting resource. The Society is interdisciplinary in nature, with most of the leading energy researchers and manufacturers of renewable energy systems and devices of the country as its members. Anyone involved in the research, development, or use of renewable energy, or in fields related to renewable energy, and interested in promoting the use of renewable energy, can become a member of the society. The Solar Energy Society of India - Institutional member was established on September 6, 2022.
Objectives
- To conduct workshops on renewable energy topics at regular intervals.
- To encourage the students to publish a biannual technical journal containing papers on renewable energy utilization, technical notes, and other items of interest to those involved in renewable energy research and development.
- To participate in the International Congress on Renewable Energy once a year, conducted by the Solar Energy Society of India, where numerous scientific and technical papers are presented and discussed.
- To help the youngsters to learn the basic concepts of renewable energy and apply it in their day-to-day lives, wherever possible.
- To create nationwide awareness of the significance of renewable energy among the school and college students.

Quizzing is both an art and an intellectual challenge. The Quiz Club aims to identify students with a talent for quizzing and provide them with opportunities for enhancing their expertise. In addition to giving students the opportunity to compete in a high-profile national competition, Quiz Club is a novel and exciting approach to inspiring, motivating, rewarding, and encouraging them in their quest for knowledge. It also teaches them interpersonal skills, as most competitive quizzing is conducted for teams of two or more, and teamwork is the only way to success.

Spoken Tutorial is a multi-award winning educational content portal and one can learn various Free and Open Source Software all by oneself. Self-paced, multi-lingual courses ensure that anybody with a computer and a desire for learning can learn from any place, at any time and in a language of their choice. The courses are straightforward and simple enough for a beginner to understand, but they also adapt to the learner's changing needs.The learning occurs at all levels-Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced - with our captivating digital content. The curriculum requires parallel practise, ensuring that students are actively learning. Many of the software programmes taught are utilized in engineering, the pure sciences, and many other undergraduate and graduate programmes. They can also be applied to the streams of commerce, the arts, and management.

Energy conservation is a vital part of human existence. We won't be able to survive in the future if we don't conserve energy. It is essential to save energy for the benefit of future generations because there is only a limited supply of energy on earth and it takes a long time to replenish. Energy conservation is important in our lives since it will ultimately contribute to a clean, healthy environment and help us live happy, fulfilling lives. It is important to make people aware of certain techniques that can help them save energy. Energy club is the platform where students are made familiar with the term Energy conservation, as well as the necessity for it and what part they can play in ensuring conservation. In order to combat the ongoing energy issue, it helps the students to conserve energy.
