Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at ACET, commissioned on October 11th, 2021, by Mr. Dharmesh Kishore, Vice President-Data Analytics at Innoviti Payment Solutions, Bangalore, to contribute towards the growing significance of artificial intelligence, data science, and related areas in different application domains. The Centre’s activities are to leverage the existence of an inter-disciplinary solid academic community and to carry out the vital research endeavours by various researchers and faculty members. Furthermore, the Centre aims to be actively engaged in nurturing the future talent pool in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science primarily through research, teaching, and collaboration with industry and government.

The centre hosts faculty members trained by ISTE and BNY-Mellon skill development Programmes who are intended to train the students. The centre also hosts a faculty development programme on machine learning and data science.

The objective of the Centre is to:
  • Train at least 100 students in the areas of machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Undertake industrial research projects
  • Apply ML techniques in the field of agriculture

Centre for Huawei Mobile Application Development

The centre for Huawei Mobile Application Development was institutionalized by Dr. Shriram K V Principal Consultant, Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. The key objective of the centre is to provide a learning and training platform to students of our Institution who are interested, dedicated, and passionate about learning and doing some innovation in the space of mobile app development using HMS. This training programme will enable the students to upgrade their skills and showcase their hidden talent by coming out with innovative and intelligent mobile apps that can significantly impact society, the nation, and humanity.

The centre has established an MOU with Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. for training and utilizing the resources of the HMS core. HMS Core offers a rich array of open device and cloud capabilities, which facilitate efficient development, fast growth, and flexible monetization. This enables global developers to pursue ground-breaking innovation, deliver next-level user experiences, and make premium content and services broadly accessible.

The centre hosts a dedicated faculty member who is a certified trainer from the HMS.
