Admissions in B.E. / B.Tech. Programmes are made under the following categories:

Government Quota Admission Process

Step 01
Visit the TNEA 2024 official website and fill out an online application for admission to B.E. / B.Tech. programmes. After successfully registering, candidates must pay the application fee online. Online registration for TNEA 2024 is expected to begin in August 2024 (tentative).

Step 02
Submit eligibility details for First Graduate Scholarships / AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) / Post Matric Scholarships - SC/ ST/ SCA/ Converted Christians Scholarships as specified on the TNEA2024 website.

Step 03
To finish the form filling process, submit academic and extra information as directed on the TNEA2024 website.

Step 04
Take a printout of the application form and submit it along with other essential documents to the appropriate Facilitation Centre (TFC) for verification, as directed by the government.

Step 05
The government will publish a statewide rank list, where you may find your rank. Candidates will be able to choose their college and branch options online, according to the published rank list. TNEA Counselling will be performed in four rounds, with candidates being assigned seats after each Allotment Round. During TNEA 2024 counselling, seat awarded candidates will be required to pay the TNEA counselling fee.

The applicant or his/her representative will have to visit the college to register for admissions using prescribed registration form available at the office on payment. Completed registration form is to be submitted to the Admissions Coordinator along with photocopies of eligibility documents.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION
First Year B.E. / B.Tech. Admissions
Applicants for first year B.E. / B.Tech. admissions should have a pass in 12th standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University, Chennai with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as given below:

Lateral Entry - Second Year B.E. / B.Tech. Admissions - DIPLOMA CANDIDATES
The candidates who possess Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.E. in the branch corresponding to their branch of study.

B.Sc candidates who studied Mathematics at +2 Level (10+2+3 stream) or studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects at the B.Sc level are eligible to apply for admission to the third Semester of B.E. / B.Tech.

- For full time diploma Diploma/ B.Sc candidates, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 6th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
- For students joined Diploma under Lateral Entry Mode, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 3rd Semester to 6th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
- For Sandwich Diploma students, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 7th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.

The scholarship amount during the first year will be adjusted in the First Year Tuition Fee.
To avail Amrita Vidyanidhi Scholarship during 2nd-year, 3rd-year & 4th-year, the candidate must have passed the First-year (Both I and II Semesters), Second-year ( Both 3rd and 4th Semesters) and Third-year (Both 5th and 6th Semesters) Examinations respectively. Otherwise, the candidate has to pay the full tuition fee during the particular academic year.
In the case of a 100% Tuition Fee Waiver for candidates with a 190 cut-off & above, only 20 students will be eligible for scholarships,with a limitation of a maximum of 4 seats in a particular branch of study. The allotment is based on the cut-off mark obtained by the students.
Only one scholarship is applicable for one student.

NRI Admissions
ELIGIBILITY
For getting admissions under NRI category, candidate should be financially supported by a Non-Resident Indian (NRI). The NRI financially supporting the candidate should either be the parent (Father or Mother) of the candidate or legally declared as guardian of the candidate by the Court as per the provisions in “The Guardians and Wards Act, 1890.”
List of documents to be submitted by the NRI candidates
Recent NRI Status Certificate of the father or mother (financial supporter) issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country with their seal in ORIGINAL. (Affidavit of NRI status is not accepted).
Employer’s Certificate of the financial sponsor issued by the foreign employer. In case of self-employment, nature of business, annual income and required proof like Income - Tax paid (for the last 3 years).
Relationship Certificate between the NRI sponsor and the applicant issued by the Tahsildar concerned
NRE / NRI bank account of the NRI parent, at least for the last six months.
Valid Indian passport of the candidate or Birth Certificate
School Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate or both. If these certificates are not available, an equivalent transfer certificate from the Principal must be specially obtained.
For 10 + 2 type of Indian Boards OR Foreign Boards: (i) Mark sheets of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (X Standard) or equivalent and (ii) Higher secondary Certificate (XII Standard) or equivalent. If the candidate has studied in a Non-Indian Government board of education system abroad or in India, the eligibility certificate obtained from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi must be enclosed
The students who want to get admission under Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category must get Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from the "Centre for Students Affairs, Anna University". The application form for getting Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) will be issued by "Centre for Student Affairs, Anna University, Chennai".
The candidates, who have been admitted in UG/PG degree courses under NRI category, can submit the duly filled application form along with the required supporting documents through the Principal/Head of the Institution.
