Department of Computer Engineering offers a three-year full-time diploma level course. The minimum eligibility for which is 10th standard pass. During 3 years of study period, students are trained in the areas such as networking, operating system, database, mobile computing etc. The department takes extra care to improve communication skills of students in a simple way to ensure the students are good at communications. Our diploma engineering students are placed in industries like Manufacturing companies, telecommunication companies, financial companies, retail companies, digital marketing companies, etc. in the area of installation and maintenance of IT services, data entry operations, multimedia applications, website development, programming, networking, mobile computing, software development and maintenance, mobile application development, etc.

Diploma - Civil Engineering
Diploma in Civil Engineering is a 3-year job-oriented course offered with an Intake of 60 students in first year with 10th standard (SSLC) pass as entry qualification. 12th standard pass students are admitted directly into the second year as lateral entry students.
Civil engineering diploma students are recruited by industries as supervisors/technicians to support senior civil engineers in planning and designing the construction of buildings, highways, bridges and other major infrastructure projects like airports, roads, railways, tunnels, canals, dams, harbors, irrigation projects, pipelines, water supply and treatment plants, power plants, sewage systems, etc.

Diploma - Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich)
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich) is a three-year and six-month full-time course offered by Amrita Polytechnic College and is approved by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai and by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. First Year course is common to all Diploma in Engineering Branches.
During 4th and 7th semester, the diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich) students undergo industrial training for six months each. Industrial training examination will be conducted after completion of every 6 months of industrial training. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich) is one of the prime courses that fetch Subject knowledge through practice by providing Industrial Training or Implant Training during the course period to the students. The students receive a monthly stipend for their training period to meet expenses towards their accommodation, food, travel and personal expenses during the training period. Diploma - Mechanical Engineering
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a 3-year Engineering Course offered to 10th Class Pass students. Students with 12th Class pass can join directly into 2nd year of the course. Basic Engineering
The Basic Engineering Department comprises of disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English.
The department takes care of imparting thorough knowledge of the basic principles and application aspects of physics, chemistry and mathematics in various engineering branches. This will help first year diploma engineering students to understand and apply the concepts of engineering during their second- and third-year course of study.
The students seeking admission to the diploma courses do not have the required proficiency in English. Courses on English and Communication Techniques, both theory and practical, are offered by the Basic Engineering Department to help the students to attain English proficiency.
Drawing is the language of engineers. It is the only media of expressing thoughts and imaginations for giving them the practical shape. For developing the capability to communicate engineering ideas using pictorial representations using certain universal conventions, courses on Engineering Graphics is offered for all the branches of diploma.
Every student of diploma course is expected to have the knowledge in basic shops like fitting, plumbing, carpentry, welding and sheet metal. It is expected that students should be able to carry out minor installation work / repair work of domestic appliances independently. A workshop practice course is offered to develop such skills for all the branches of diploma.
