Admission Processes for Management Quota Seats in Diploma in Engineering

• Step 01

  Applicants seeking Diploma Lateral entry Admissions are requested to visit the College Admissions Office at Erachakulam, Nagercoil and meet the Admissions Coordinator from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on all working days to collect Enquiry Form for FREE. Enquiry form given below can also be filled and submitted online

• Step 02

  A separate application form for Diploma Admission is available on payment of Rs 100/-. Completed Application form to be submitted to the Admissions Coordinator

• Step 03

  Admission Coordinators shall check the eligibility requirements and guide applicants to secure admission

• Step 04

  Applicants can make partial or full tuition fee payment on the spot once provisional admission registration is offered after scrutiny of the relevant documents by the Admissions Coordinator.

If candidates are not able to travel and visit the college in person, he/she may choose to submit online application/enquiry .

On receipt of applicant details via online application form, eligible merit candidates will be provided an application ID and provisional seat allotment order to his/her registered email ID/ Phone Number. Once provisional allotment is received, applicants can make partial or full tuition fee as per the instructions given in the email to confirm seat allotment. Online payment can be made through NEFT/RTGS.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION

Eligibility "Second Year Diploma Admissions (Lateral Entry)

Candidates should have passed HSC (+2) under State Board, Matriculation, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS to directly join in the second year of the three-year Diploma in Engineering programmes under the Lateral Entry Scheme in Amrita Polytechnic College.

Merit Scholarship – Amrita Polytechnic College

Amrita Polytechnic College does not collect any capitation fee for any programme. Financial support is given through scholarships and fee concessions to the merit students. The following scholarships are available for students studying 3 year Diploma in Engineering:

• BC & MBC Scholarship: (State Govt. Scholarship)

  BC/MBC Scholarship for Backward & MBC Community students whose parents income does not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- per year can apply through the college office for the state government BC & MBC Scholarship to the Director of Backward Classes of Government of Tamilnadu.

• SC/ST Scholarship Tamilnadu: Govt of India Scholarship is applicable only for SC / ST and converted Christian SC Students.

  Eligibility Conditions:

  • 50% of marks in the previous year Examination.
  • Should produce SC / ST certificate.
  • The parent annual income for Hindu SC should not exceed Rs.2,50,000/-
  • The parent annual income for Christian should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/-
• Minority Scholarship

  The students belonging to minority class (Christian, muslim etc...) are eligible to get minority scholarship.

• Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s Farmer’s Scholarship
• Scholarship for disabled children from directorate of social welfare department
• Southern Railway assistance from staff benefit fund
• Tamil Nadu Unorganised Workers Welfare Board scholarship
• Police Welfare Department, Tamilnadu and Puducherry
