Amrita MATLAB user forum

Campus - Wide MATLAB License called Total Academic Headcount (TAH) with unlimited access to MATLAB and Simulink products of MathWorks is obtained on payment by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math (M. A. Math) from the AY 2018-19. With the Campus-Wide License, all faculty and students of Amrita Institutions, Nagercoil have on/off campus access to MATLAB, Simulink, and all their product offerings. The primary objective of providing this service is to accelerate Learning and Research inside the Campus.

Campus-Wide License have access to the most up-to-date suite of MATLAB and Simulink products available for academic use. Faculty can engage students also in research and enable the student to focus initially on solving less complex research problems using MATLAB. TAH allows faculty, researchers, staff, and students to download and install all the licensed products on their work and personal computers and practice to build their MATLAB and Simulink skills.

TRAINING RESOURCES FROM MATHWORKS

Faculty are requested to use and encourage students to use MATLAB software to complete project-based assignments. With MATLAB, we are combining computer science theory and concepts with problem solving in all branches of engineering.

A core MATLAB user forum consisting of interested members of faculty and students from all branches of engineering in Amrita College of Engineering and Technology and Amrita Polytechnic College is actively working. Our MATLAB user forum is currently using all the training services provided by MathWorks and the links for getting more information are given below:

Building computational thinking through integrated curriculum

MATLAB Academy – This introductory course includes demonstrations, quizzes, and hands-on MATLAB practice sessions that allow users to apply the skills immediately.

MATLAB Online – Faculty and students can get instant access to MATLAB from a web browser (requires that they associate to our TAH license). This is particularly useful for anyone new to MATLAB who would like to try it out prior to downloading the software.
