Dengue Awareness



The students, teachers and staff of Amrita College of Education were participated in a Dengue Awareness campaign. 

The program was guided by Dr. S. Krishna Priya the honourable principal of the College and Shri. R. Venkatesh, Health Inspector of Erachakulam Village. The campaign took place on 5th August 2020 in the college premises and mainly around the adjacent localities respectively. 

Under this campaign, various contests and events were held to encourage more participation. Poster making, slogan writing, banner making competitions were held at the school level along with a digital doodling competition. The efforts made by the students were reflected by their performances in all the activities. 

Approximately 100 student teachers from B.Ed. colleges participated with great enthusiasm to help to eliminate dengue and create a healthy environment. The students were mentored by nearly 10 teacher educators for this event. 

The students conducted a rally in which they taught the people of nearby localities about the perils of Dengue. The students went from locality to locality and contributed their part by cleaning the environment; disposing of wastes and litter properly in the closed dustbin and clearing clogged water from pipes and drain respectively. The students received appreciation from even the municipality for their humanitarian initiative.
