ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATION

First Year B.E. Admissions
The applicants for first year B.E admissions should have a pass in 12th standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University, Chennai with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as given below:

SC / ST  Pass in Qualifying exam
 

     Candidates from other states will be considered as belonging to OC only, irrespective of their community for the purpose of considering minimum eligibility marks.
 

Lateral Entry - Second Year B.E. Admissions – DIPLOMA CANDIDATES
The candidates who possess Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.E. in the branch corresponding to their branch of study.

BSc candidates who studied Mathematics at +2 Level (10+2+3 stream) or studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects at the BSc level are eligible to apply for admission to the third Semester of B.E.
Marks Eligibility for Lateral Entry Candidates is given below:

# Note:

(i) For full time diploma Diploma/BSc candidates, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 6th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
(ii) For students joined Diploma under Lateral Entry Mode, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 3rd Semester to 6th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
(iii) For Sandwich Diploma students, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 7th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
(iii) For Part Time Diploma students, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 8th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
