The student teachers are given a complete platform to update their knowledge and skills in Pedagogy of Physical science. Teacher educator encourage them to  excel their scientific thoughts and attitude. 
 

As per the norms of TNTEU, Chennai the candidates, who have done their UG/PG Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Geo-Physics, Bio-Physics and Applied Chemistry can apply for Pedagogy of Physical Science. Minimum marks with respect to community/category (OC- 50%, BC/BCM- 45%, MBC/DNC- 43%, SC/SCA/ST-40%) is mandatory for admission. The medium of instruction is in English and Tamil.

The teacher educator of Physical Science insists on Bloom's taxonomy since it is viewed as the tools best applied for teaching and learning. The B.Ed curriculum strengthens the student teachers in experimentation skill, mini, micro and macro teaching skills. The students are encouraged for practising the macro lessons with teaching skills. Proper training on preparing the teaching

learning materials enhance their creativity and presentation skills. The student teachers during their internship in Second year teaches 30 lesson plans at each level.

  • Science lab  is equipped with teaching learning resources like experimental apparatus, measuring instruments, chemicals for experimental analysis, periodic charts, working models pictures, flash cards, charts, posters, photographs, 2D and 3D models, preserved specimens,
  • Experimental apparatus, microscopic slides.

Science laboratory

The College of Education has well equipped laboratories for Biological science and Physical science. Students are encouraged to use these laboratories to learn through experiments. The laboratory has experimental apparatus, measuring instruments, chemicals for experimental analysis, periodic charts, working models ,etc.

  • Natioanal Science Day,Science Quiz were the club Activities conducted by science club.
